Under the skirts of The Black Mountains

Crug Hywel ~ Table Mountain above the small market town of Crickhowell

The Black Mountains are a remote upland plateau divided by five deep valleys into six broad ridges. They make for superb hill walking. Our favourite local range, we have bags of walks waiting for you. Whether it's down exploring the cwms (valleys) or up on the peaks, we'll have something that suits you. Our gentler rambles go below the higher ridges and make for a great introduction to this range. From the surrounding towns of Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and Crickhowell, we can explore under the skirts of The Black Mountains.
