Herefordshire Trail

Herefordshire Trail leading to Wapley Fort. By Raymond Perry, CC BY-SA 2.0,

This 154 mile trail runs across this beautiful English county and links many of the county's scenic highlights. We would like to guide and support you walking the whole trail, or are happy to design shorter, day walks for you. We can arrange accommodation or luggage transfer for you.

Examples of how you could spend three days on the Herefordshire Trail with our support.

Choose a base:

Hereford (Best for the whole trail)

Ross-on-Wye (South)

Ewyas Harold (South West)

Hay-on-Wye (West)

Kington (North West)

Leominster (North)

Bromyard (North East)

Ledbury (East)

We will then help you find accommodation that suits your budget e.g. camping / glamping or bunkhouse / hostel or B&B or self catering or hotel or just pure luxury!

Once you're happy we can start to think Trail! How many days and how many miles per day? Our local expert guides can give you pointers, advice on the route and can drop off and pick you up at the start and end of each day's walk so that you can return to the same accommodation if you wish.

The Herefordshire Trail is divided into 14 sections each between 7 and 15 miles in length. But if those don't suit you, we can easily suggest stages that fit your requirements.

So join us at Exploring Herefordshire to get the most out of this stunning trail in one of the most beautiful counties in England.
