Revolutions!

Clydach Gorge was a hive of industrial activity

Although Mid Wales is still an agricultural area, it has seen widespread changes to its economy. In this historical tour, we will study the changes that took place during the Agrarian and later the Industrial revolutions. We will investigate the effect of rural-urban migration and will explore how the iron, coal and limestone industries with related canals and railways affected rural Mid Wales.
