The Wye cuts through resistant rock near Builth Wells The Wye cuts through resistant rock near Builth Wells

The Wye Valley Tour takes three days to complete but can be shortened according to clients' wishes. It will follow the River Wye from source to mouth and will focus on the landscape features that make this the most fascinating of British rivers. We will investigate the effect of glaciation and rejuvenation upon the Wye valley. We'll look at how the course of the Wye has changed over time and how it continues to be dynamic. Our tour guide is a graduate geographer who is enthusistic to share his knowledge with you. From the first tricklings of the infant Wye on Plynlimon, through the sinuous meanders around Symond's Yat, to the tidal mouth under the old Severn Bridge, Exploring Mid Wales will show you and help you interpret this beautiful valley.
