The River Usk winds it way from the foot of The Black Mountain to the Bristol Channel near Newport. En route it passes some of the most beautiful scenery in this country. Our geographical tour focuses on the geographical features found in the Usk valley. From waterfalls and rapids, to caves and lakes, there is so much to see and understand here. Much of our tour will be within the Brecon Beacons National Park and you will learn how the fascinating geology, various ice ages and the effects of water, wind and frost have had on this landscape. We will help you look for and interpret evidence that will reveal the story behind the beautiful Usk valley.
