Coppet Hill circuit

Coppet Hill and the River Wye

Recently named one of "50 Great British Walks" by The Telegraph, the circuit of Coppet Hill, starting from Goodrich Castle is a classic Wye valley walk. Combining woodland, meadow and upland terrain, this walk contains riverside rambling and mild hill walking. Discover why Welsh Bicknor is here in England, why the Wye can't seem to make up its mind which way it's flowing and the tale of William Gilpin's first visit here in 1770.
