Magic Meirionydd

The mouth of the Mawddach estuary, Barmouth

Meirionydd ~ Merioneth is a beautiful county that today forms part of Gwynedd. Its southern half is dominated by the bulk of 2927' Cader Idris. Between this massif, flow two estuaries that are among the most beautiful in Britain - the Mawddach and the Dyfi ~ Dovey. Our tour may combine enjoying these mountain, coastal and estuarine landscapes with visits to remnants of the slate industry, views of alternative technology and a wander round historic Dolgellau.
